We normally take a holiday to the sunny south the end of February to escape cabin fever. This year we decided to take our 2 daughters and their families. Our one daughter lives 3000 km away and we don't get spend much time with them, including the grand-kids
. It was great spending a week with them. Considering every ones schedule January was the best time to go. I felt like we were barley finished Christmas then off to a holiday. We picked a good time to go as we had bitter cold weather while we were away. We left our resort at +30 and came home to -25, including the wind chill. I'll spend this winter making pottery to get through the cabin fever time.
I am a Christian by accepting Jesus as my Lord and savior. God has gifted my in the arts, particularly pottery. I enjoy turning on the wheel to make functional pottery but I also enjoy sculpting and creating whimsical figures, like my bears.

New Year Resolution
Resolutions and goals are something I never do. It is not that I have any thing against them. I just never had any thing I wanted to make into a resolution. But this year it is different. I went into last years books and copied onto a spread sheet what I sold. Then I made two columns, one I multiplied by 4 the other by 6. The times four is the minimum amount of pottery I want to make this year and the times 6 is the maximum amount I want to make. Since I can turn better I might even excel my high goal.
I'll keep you posted to see how I do. I should separate the amount of pottery I aim to make into months and and make that much per month, small bites.
I might even promote my photography some too.
I also plan and getting more of my creative juices flowing and make little animal or other handles such as this bee on this jam pot.
